school frenzy

So, its been 2 long years since I've graduated from college. I attended Bakersfield College from Fall 2004 and graduated with my RN degree in May 2009. I put a lot of hard work into those four years in college but overall, I enjoyed it and I've been enjoying the fruit of my labor ever since :):)

Currently, I am now working as a Telemetry RN in San Joaquin Community Hospital. As hard as the job is, I am very thankful to have it. Some people see $$$ but trust me it can be a very tiring job both physically and mentally.

Now, as the demands of bedside nursing is getting more and more..ughh demanding, my desire to go back to school is as high as ever. I want to get my masters done..and I want it done fast! I don't care if I take out a 50k loan or go part-time, or give up my frequent out of town trips and extravagant lifestyle. As nerdy as it may sound, I love school and not reading a book for awhile kind of freaks me out! haha. Moreover, I just want to make the most out of my profession. I might as well be the best nurse that I can be. I've been wanting to get my bachelors for quite some time but CSUB's (our local university) requirements are just getting more and more absurd. I definitely don't want to take 2 more art classes, a political science class and a bunch of non-nursing upper division classes. The thought of just going to an art appreciation class after 12 hours of PM shift will drive me insane for sure...and 18 months to get my BSN? I just think its too long considering that its not my main goal. So, I'm looking at some private universities where I can get my masters in 2 years! It is hella expensive but I really am willing to suffer now just so that I can enjoy life more in the near future.
Currently I am looking at University of San Francisco since they offer an online RN-MSN.

Im expecting it to be super expensive but then if its for me then God will provide. So yes, if this venture does pursue I will once again be plunging below the poverty line and will be poorer than a rat haha (reminds me of my struggling college days).  I will update when I hear from them. As of now, I really need to sleep because I have work later and Ive been up the whole night already. goodmorning and night night ^_^
